Esteemed French Pastry Chef, Julien Khalaf, made his dream a reality by beginning his NY empire in December 2020, with his first, eponymous boulangerie in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Soon he opened two more locations in Manhattan and in August of 2022, he created his largest location yet at 1247 Third Avenue, at 72nd Street. The newest location will offer a full-service bistro for lunch and weekend brunch beginning in September 2022.
Hailing from the small town of Le Blanc, France, Julien dreamed of becoming a pastry chef since his youth. Julien and his team of esteemed bakers create crisp, golden baguettes, specialty breads as well as traditional, flaky croissants and seasonal pastries, made with Isigny French butter. The croissant dough is Julien’s signature, featured in all the indulgent tarts and quiches, with the crust remaining crunchy until the last bite.
The new bistro will feature a simple, French menu, with beer and wine, transporting UES residents and visitors alike back to the cafes of Paris.
